UTM FIELD TEST INDUSTRY DAY 2022
About the event
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) Field Test Industry Day will be hosted jointly by the FAA and NASA. This event opens the next chapter of UTM testing and exploration, leveraging previously developed UTM ecosystem capabilities to explore emerging UTM Services. The UTM Field Test will execute flight test activities to validate industry standards. This project supports Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) policy development and routine low-altitude BVLOS UAS operations in various environments, including operations at night and over people.
During this engagement, FAA and NASA will provide participants with information regarding the planned field test activities, including a walkthrough of project objectives, scenarios, capabilities, timeline, and partnership plan.
