The NASA Aeronautics Research Institute in support of ARMD’s AAM Project is collaborating with Agility Prime to launch the AAM Supply Chain Working Group. Upper E Traffic Management (ETM) tabletop on development of the ETM concept and associated operational requirements with focus on operations that occur above and below FL600 and techniques for cooperative traffic management - ETM ConOps V1 and additional documents are now available.

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Ecosystem Working Groups

The working groups aim to accelerate the development of safe, high-volume AAM flight operations by bringing together the broad community involved in developing this new capability. We commenced the AAM ecosystem working groups in March 2020 in a virtual forum. Moving forward, there will be continued virtual gatherings to facilitate community engagement and input. Participation offers the opportunity to closely collaborate with NASA and other government organizations towards developing the standards, policies, and operationalization of AAM.

February 26, 2020: UAM Guided Discussion

Version 1 of NextGen Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Concept of Operations was developed through a series of collaborative activities and enagagement in partnership with FAA, NASA, and industry stakeholders. It describes the envisioned operational environment that supports the expected evolution of UAM operations and provides the foundational information incorporate UAM operations into existing Air Traffic Management (ATM) environment. Future collaboration with stakeholders will further mature and modify this document.

August 6-7, 2019: Enabling Autonomous Flight and Operations in the NAS workshop 2 with emphasis on autonomous small unmanned aircraft systems and increasingly autonomous medium-size urban air mobility vehicles - Presentations now available

April 23-24, 2019: Enabling Autonomous Flight Operations in the NAS 1 with emphasis on enabling medium-size cargo/freighters and reduced crew transport category aircraft operating in all classes of airspace - Reports now available
