Joe Grady is Chief of the Ceramic & Polymer Composites Branch at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. After receiving a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at Purdue University, he conducted research in failure mechanics of high temperature engine materials, and managed a series of NASA Aeronautics projects which included the development of advanced materials for a High Speed Civil Transport, noise reduction technologies for aircraft engines and Vehicle Health Management technologies for NASA’s Aviation Safety Program.
