AOSP 2021 AMES RESEARCH CENTER TOWN HALL FORUM

AIRSPACE OPERATIONS SAFETY PROGRAM (AOSP) 2021

AMES RESEARCH CENTER TOWN HALL FORUM

On March 30, 2021, Mr. Akbar Sultan, Director of the Airspace Operations and Safety Program (AOSP), hosted a virtual  town hall for Ames.  At this event, he gave a seminar on AOSP activities and take questions from the audience.  AOSP works with the Federal Aviation Administration, industry and academic partners to conceive and develop technologies to further improve the safety of current and future aircraft.  AOSP methods will provide advanced automated support to air navigation service providers and aircraft operators to reduce delays and ensure greater safety.  Ames researchers have key roles in all four AOSP projects: Airspace Technology Demonstrations (ATD), Air Traffic Management - Exploration (ATM-X), System-Wide Safety (SWS), and UAS Traffic Management (UTM).
